Hi everyone,

I recently started working again on Geo Locator 🌎. I managed to add a free to use Google API Key, which has daily limited quotas, but it's meant to be used only to check how the game or the site works and not to be played with. This way anybody can try the game without having to go through the process of creating a key. I also implemented new game modes by letting players choose what kind of locations they want to play in, improved the logic behing the host and partecipants, making it so that if the host disconnects another player becomes the host, whereas before when the host left the game the lobby was shutdown. I tried to improve the UI of the site by making a better home screen with more info, a better in game ui when playing and by rounding some corners on the lobby and result menues. As always if you anybody finds any bugs, they can report them on the Github Page.

I also had some time to work on my personal website, the one you're reading this post from right now. I finished to implement the contact form on the homepage; I used emailjs to handle the message side of it while also implementing reCaptcha by Google to limit spam or bots. I also improved some behind the scenes stuff and thanks to that I managed to reach an 100 in almost all the scores in Lighthouse! 🎉🎉

I still need to work on the performance, but my big face on the front pages lowers that score quite a lot. 😅
